As a person begins to celebrate who God is, a desire to connect with others who feel the same will ensue. As part of New Heights Church discipleship process, it will be important to create meaningful, transformational connections with others who want to walk as Christ walked. These connections can be one-on-one mentoring relationships, small groups or community groups. The key criterion is that they be connections that sharpen a person toward Christ-likeness.

At New Heights Church, the best way to form connections with others is through our weekly small groups, which we call “connection groups.” Find out more about when and where our groups meet.

On a typical night at a connection group, people will socialize together, pray together, and spend some time discussing a passage from the Bible together. The best discussions are those in which the participants have had the chance to read and think about the passage ahead of time, so we post the schedule of what will be covered on which date. That way, even if you’re jumping into a group for the first time you can have already read the passage. And if you didn’t get the chance to read ahead of time, don’t worry. Our groups have a strict “no quiz” policy.
